It took about 2 months to complete this small painting, doing a little at a time each day.  I was finding it hard to get back into things as a stay at home/work from home Mom.  I decided to get my butt to my table and start small.....with an intricately difficult subject matter.. who does that?!  I enjoyed taking my time and truly observing that which I wanted to replicate.  Here is the progression.   Start of very light, making sure to leave white spaces for light.   Build up the colors & values slowly and carefully. This year, I have no choice but to tackle Everything on my list as we are expecting a baby boy in September.  Being 6 months pregnant with a house & studio in the middle of remodeling is pretty hectic.  It's the chaos before the order before the next chaos. I'm limited to what I can do to help with the work & painting, but...
