Easily create a crisp rustic style Fall centerpiece with dried out sunflower cores, old glass centerpiece vases & glass stones.
No mess, no fuss!
I usually grow about 5 mammoth sunflowers every year, but this year I kept it small and had 3 smaller sunflowers growing in pots on my deck. Though smaller than mammoth, they still produced plenty of seeds thanks to the plethora of adorable fuzzy bees attracted by my little oasis of roses, palms, olive plants, hostas and lavender.
I had three glass vessels on my counter just begging me to do something with them, so when the idea of my dried out sunflowers reflecting in the sun through the glass popped into my head, I got busy.
First, I filled them about an inch with multi colored glass stones.
Next I removed the leaves from the stalks.
Then I folded the stalks and placed them into the glass vessels.
I folded them in a way that the cores would be positioned inside the vase instead of sticking out like a typical flower display.
Guess what.. that’s it. Easiest DIY EVER!
Now, all You have to do is dress up your table centerpiece or display on a shelf, counter top or give as an Autumn housewarming gift. I suggest placing them next something blue to really make it pop.
