I have been a chronic doodler since grammar school. Every notebook I've ever had is filled with doodles in the margins. Grammar school, high school, college & work.
Did you know that it's beneficial for your brain? According to this article in the Wall Street Journal, "Recent research in neuroscience, psychology and design shows that doodling can help people stay focused, grasp new concepts and retain information."
Doodling has always kept my mind from wandering and made what I was hearing be in the forefront. Doodling also calms me, brings forth ideas, organizes thought and, of course, it's fun.
I've been sharing my nightly doodles on my IG account over the past month. I'm in between porcelain projects and it's just what I needed. They are spontaneous and free flowing, taking a life of their own. Here are some of my favorites, made with PaperMate Ink Joy Gel pens.
